April 18, 1943 – Sunday
“Arose about 8:30. Harley and I went to San Francisco on greyhound bus. Enjoyed it. Took street car to Ocean Beach. Swell zoo there. Took roll of film. Came back to Golden Gate Park – too late to see aquarium. Came on to city ate dinner at 7 p.m. Went to News Reel-no good. Hard time getting bus home but finally made it at about 10 p.m. Arrived at Vallejo at 11:15 p.m.“
