September 6, 1943 – Monday
“Jerri, Leonard and family came in this a.m. They are leaving in a.m. for Colusa, Calif to live. Sold furniture.“
Colusa is a small town about 100 miles northeast from Vallejo. I am sure they missed having them nearby.
“There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.” Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel is essential to good parenting.
