April 24, 1943 – Saturday
“Went early to send cable but found Red Cross were closed Sat P.M. Too bad I didn’t know. Was nearly sick over it. Had some envelopes addressed at shop office for Earl. Took hospital Easter baskets to hospital from shop so they can be delivered tomorrow (Easter Sun). They took colored pictures of them. Sure pretty.“
